  • Thanks for the supporr, but I don't think it's that simple. I don't simply want to be an artist, I want to make webcomics. For a webcomic to be successful, it needs to catch the attention of more than 20 people. Something which I am EVIDENTLY UNABLE TO DO. It's hard to stick to a dream like mine when it's clear that nobody gives a damn.

  • (welp... I would watch it) I'm sure many people would like it. Depending on topic, many people could even flip out (in a good way) and spread it to their friends.

  • I care, Kay! :3 Don't let this little social media ruin your dream! There's bigger places you can go! Besides! Arent the drawings saved onto the SD card or somethin?

  • @OtakuBub - I've been here for a year. If that was going to happen, shouldn't it have happened by now? I honestly got more attention when I first started than I get now, even though my art has only gotten better since then. @Asriel - Yeah, I know you do. It's just, why do I have 200+ followers if only 20 of then seem to actually care about my artwork? And where am I gonna go? DevianArt?

  • I'd be even more outshined there than I am here. That's where actual pro artists go. I'd be swept under the rug.

  • Oh. Yeah. Devianart is kinda... Eh. But most of the followers out there follow just to follow. XD But there are people that still see it and might think it's pretty cool! Or, they could be selfish because it's not what they want. Idk. But overall, DON'T STOP! (Believin'! XD)

  • So... what? Tumblr? I have blog, but have no idea how to start.

  • Eh. Idk. I tried on Twerter (bird. Tweet tweet), and people kind of liked the drawings I did. They weren't all that, but people liked them. Unfortunately, I lost my account. XD

  • Eh. Maybe I'm too ambitious for my own good anyways. I never was a good storyteller. Maybe I can settle for an ask blog for now and see what I can do after I get out of art school.... Now how do I start an askblog?

  • (sorry, just had to do something) I'm not going to be as sweet as sugar here, just straight up. no dur you would be out-shined but you wanna know something, everyone will be at one point, continuously, time and time again, by new people, by friends, by a lot of other people, but you'll out-shine many others. you do have talent and i know you will go far, if you wanna that is.

  • @Kay don't give up you're really good at what u do..for one i love your art and wish i could draw like that but i still need a little more practice...on here that is cuz i find it hard to draw on a wii pad all my life i was drawing on paper..soo..ya know i gotta learn..but what u do is amazing and if u keep going the right people will notice u you'll get there one day..don't give up cuz i won't..

    Yeahs1
  • I dunno. I've never done one.

  • Do you really care if people on here like it? I mean a lot of these people are meme loving 2 year old smashers. They wouldn't know quality if it hit them in the face. I never really cared about people's opinions here. You shouldn't either. But your art is good nonetheless. And artists are having a hard time anyway. Its not just you.

  • To get to a certain level you have to concentrate on practicing your skills and getting feedback from a professional artist/art teacher not the Internet. Never the Internet. Measuring your success by the random reactions of random people will ruin anyone at your stage. Successful artist incubate in secure environment for a long time. Respect your talent and your dreams.

    Yeahs0
  • Well my art teacher and pretty much all my friends are convinced that I will be a successful artist one day, but even if I do become a successful artist, will I be doing what I want to do, or will I just become a slave to my employers, making everything THEY want me to make. I know what I want to do, but I need the support of those "random people" to get where I want to go.

  • Consider the option of doing both at first. Some Iconic comic artists had quite a mundane daytime job they earned a living from that had nothing to do with art. How many successful actors worked as waiters for years until they got their big break? How do you define success? is it just being famoys or is it having enough money to have the freedom to create?

    Yeahs0
  • Making enough of a living out of it that it's all I have to do(though some fame couldn't hurt). The freedom to create what I want. I guess I have until I get out of art school to get it figured out, though.
