gamen8nja, what the person above me guessed is right. You can't play online or locally with other people. There isn't a multiplayer mode. However, if you have Streetpass enabled for this game, you can have Shadow Link battles with others that you streetpass. You can only fight them once per Streetpass, and it will be a CPU fighting you with the items they chose. Can be fun though. Have a good one.

You can also tag people with the same game even without having the game on. All you have to do is enable Street Pass and go take a walk to Gamestop or around your neighborhood. That is all! I only have fought 4 people because nobody has the game OR a 3DS... I get REALLY lonely... ;(
