I'm a little too tired to conclude this 3blue-heart minimalist Hero Mode run tonight, but at least the file timer is at its final resting spot. I don't mind taking the stroll through Hyrule Castle now that the way to Ganondorf is cleared, as very recently saved screens will show. I do mind taking on the final fight bleary-eyed though. ;) WARNING: Unmarked spoilers appear in the comments.

Not a moment of action during the playthrough occurred w/out 4x damage being in play. While it was challenging, I still gave it my all to finish quickly. I've never tried for a good any% file time in TP, but this effort and a nice guy named Zaac have inspired me to aim for better tomorrow. I set out to reach 'dorf in under ten hours, but I can surely do better after this experience.

I don't have enough comments to get all three of my minimalist proof screens up tonight, but I'll open the file briefly for two of them. During my log of the practice run (same thing but on Normal), I discussed what parts of Hyrule Castle I'd omit. Same deal here - fought King Bulblin and the Dinolfos, skipping the Graveyard and the twin Darknut wing. I also yammered on about strategy for these

barrier sections, and using Wolf Link and Midna's dark energy field only inthe spacious one en route to King Bulblin was the much safer approach. He goes flying into and over the barrier to great harm on the two smaller ringed encounters. Journal entry. No unnecessary treasure chests were opened, and my only minimalism fails were blowing up two underwater boulders for Water Bomb cash on the way to Lakebed and the arguable choice to not burn my Ordon Shield. Or play using prohibitions like the Ordon Sword or Zora Tunic in Snowpeak, et cetera ... Tomorrow I'll get the Item screen from the file up before tackling the King of Thieves.

He's not half as wild or lucky as the me that inspired that persona Ed. ;) This was actually an instance of me helping him w/ a responsible choice. I posted about 3hearting the Ganondorf fight during the practice run w/ much detail, so when I get to work on it shortly, I won't file a report until victory.

Quite frankly, everything except the horseback portion is a complete joke to me at this point in my experience. I'll throw up a screen from each phase for any who might doubt my snooty blue blood status though.

... this absolute nightmare. After getting thumped the first time, I resolved to not put myself through the Missouri mule drill I did w/ Zant. I just accepted the Retry route, easier to do w/ the file timer off my back. However, this meant getting through the toughest part w/out a bottled fairy. At 4x damage, 'dorf himself is the real menace. I took a few 2heart dismounts just for hitting him w/

a spin attack and getting steered into. The Phantoms are an annoyance at 1heart a pop, but by paying better attention to how to evade them, I finally pulled my stop and follow move to resounding success. Great handling of Tinker (Epona on Stagger named playthroughs for those who missed that) allowed Zelda to land three straight Light Arrows and three clean spins won the day - many tries later. ;)

I had taken a hit from that Gerudo equestrianism maestro before cleaning his clock in rapid succession, but I bravely slammed home the opening Chance on the Dark Lord. I bottled the fairy from his arena and never got touched. It took four Chances, the safe way w/out Fishing Pole hijynx, but that's a wrap! Tough playthrough! Four game overs outside Zant and Ganondorf, and a handful of returns to

the title screen for moments I definitely wanted that confidence boosting insurance of a bottled fairy for after a lesser mistake ... but this run is in that league w/ the LBW Hero Mode 3heart minimalist. Thanks Nintenbrodroidoer! I'm actually making the post on this account now before a lunch break, and then just commenting w/ splits from Straggler's account. Burying this one quickly is a shame, but I don't want to forget my mistakes so far. :p To make the question clear on the Cave of Shadows 3heart Hero-dorf deal, yes I will attempt to do that on that file after my Legends fever dies down.
