Miitomo performing well in Japan

Nintendo announce that its new Mii-based mobile communication app 'Miitomo' has surpassed one million users in just 3 days, and has topped the IOS charts, ousting 'Line', the primary messaging app in Japan and Asia in the process. Miitomo should be making its way to other territories before the end of the month, along with the new My Nintendo rewards program.

    Miiverse only with Miis... what? Anyway, I hope this doesn't give Nintendo the wrong idea, abandoning their creative heritage to focus almost exclusively on cheap mobile games. I'm glad Miitomo is doing well, but mobile should be more of a side thing.

    As for Android, it's been downloaded about +10k times (source: Play Store. The App page is available for viewing in America.). And while I can't see the Japanese charts, keep in mind that Japan LOVES IOS and that Android is less common there.
