You're in a room. Your friend begins clipping his toenails. You hear the high-velocity pieces of shrapnel ricocheting off of various surfaces. Do you make a run for it? You don't want to be a sitting duck, but you risk stepping onto the nail-traps and entering the line of fire. Or do you keep still? You haven't been hit yet, but maybe it's a matter of time until you fall victim to friendly fire.
