    Well, unless if there is something legitimately serious, they should have some access (maybe not all) till they are 18, which would be the legal adult age, since they are probably living under their parents house. I'm only 20, but I wouldn't call this overprotective due to how social media is these days.

    YES!! Yes they should it is called protective parenting or actually caring if a child is doing something they shouldnt parents should be able to go in and check their social media accounts my mom has all my passwords and stuff. If you have a problem with them going through it that means gou have something to hide!! im real i am like a glass you can see everything!! i have nothing to hide

    I feel like this is an essay topic for school and you just don't know what to write so your asking us and it's working. I'd say if the child starts acting weird ever sense they started socializing then yeah but other than that, nah. Everyone needs privacy.

    Lots of people say things in tweets that they would never say out loud. Anyone can "check" someone's profile unless it's private or whatever. What I *do* DISagree with is parents logging into their minor's account.
