Wouldn't it be cool if Nintendo utilized the concept of time travel within a Mario game? I mean not the way they did with Mario's Time Machine but you know kind of like Sega did with Sonic generations but better. It could feature classic Mario with modern Mario and make a compelling fun story. What do you guys think?

    You are both talking about an already-existing game. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time allows you to travel back and forth in time and see how the Mushroom Kingdom has changed since the Shroobs, a type of alien, attacked the kingdom. You travel along with the baby versions of Mario and Luigi.

    not really since 8 bit mario is no different than today mario and a time travel gimmick wouldn't work because nintendo already reuse level gimmicks today. PERSONALLY i would like to see a mario game where the power ups are replaced by tools and the plot could go like peach gets kidnapped by bowser and they go to brooklyn, at the same time pauline is kidnapped by DK, so you choose save pauline or..

    I think your missing the point for example let's say 8bit Mario encounters present Mario,16 bit Mario,64 bit Mario and so on they could pull it off if they put their minds to it and Partners in Time is different that has RPG elements involved I'm talking about a Time travel adventure.....

    but whats the difference between them visually, yeah gameplay is quite obvious but what makes 64 mario different from galaxy mario.

    No he hasn't over the years Mario has gained many different abilities for example in the original you couldn't slide and you couldn't side hop off walls like in Super Mario 64 in galaxy you didn't have the abilities you had in 64. Super Mario World was the 1st game to let you fly so yea dude......

    you seem to be missing my point, mario has looked the same since 85 so having a game with different marios wouldn't be that interesting visually and gameplay wise because nintendo always reuse level tropes so it wouldn't be interesting going through world 1-1 an umpteenth time. besides the only difference between 64 mario and the other 3d marios is the game exclusive gimmicks ie fludd and the spin
