    Feed them their favorite food. If they have an all time or super all time favorite, it'll work instantly. Just do things that usually raise their happiness until the sadness bar is all gone.

    All you have to do is give them gifts. Dye their hair, let them listen to a music box, let them take a bath, give them their favorite food, give them new clothes, give them new interior, until the sadness bar is gone.
