So by now I'm sure Epona's top speed in Hyrule Field is way higher than before, which is nice, but erm... is it me, or does she still control eight-directional?

    Yeah, I never really noticed the eight-directional control thing until now. It hid itself pretty well on the GCN/Wii, since those controllers had grooves in the eight directions, Wii U on the other hand...oy vey.

    Honestly I kinda liked the old eight-directional, octagonal-hole controls better... mainly because spin attacks were so much easier. But the eight-direction controls being on ONLY EPONA, especially with the smooth hole, feel really awkward, haha.
