Top down magic

While replaying I've felt quite different than when playing the 3D ZELDA games. Sometimes I wonder if the classic top down games have something that is intangible, something that I can't quite put my finger on but translates into an almost magical experience that the 3D games, all still being amazing; simply don't seem to have.

    Actually replying to this from my cell phone ;) I love A Link to the Past on SNES. I agree. That game still looks, feels and plays perfect even today.
