  • @Hannes: Thanks a lot! :] @Fammy: Funny that you say that. The other day, I was searching for some Japanese graffiti and I saw this plate of food and thought it was a graffiti. xD

  • @J.: Yeah, it's something that's been going for a while. I've been avoiding miiverse for a while since it's a torture to try and get on here. x( Internet company has some issues they haven't been able to fix so yeah... Sorry about that. Feel free to add me and we can talk & play or something. xP

  • Hey, sorry for deleting you... i was gonna try talking that way but unfortunately can't anyways... you may need to re-add me. also, i'm not permanently banned i'm only banned for two weeks.

  • Wow, how do they do it? I'm afraid I've never heard of you before. But dayum, that's some very high res graffiti... or, marble enamel... or, toothpaste. This is going to be a humbling question, but how do you blend those different shades of red & black together to get that look?

  • @Sarki?: I'm not sure I fully understand your question. For the red letters, I used a dark shade of red for one face and a lighter shade of red for the other face. For the black/grey, I used a really diluted black for one face and a less diluted black for the other face. Ideally, you'd want to use the lighter shades on the sides that face the imaginary light. You just work it from there.

  • Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Looks like there's a lot of blending & smudging going on here. AA is really something I ought to play around with more. I pretty much draw exclusively in monochromatic.

  • @Sarki?: Yeah, lots of blending. I still haven't got the hang of it though. I don't like the way the blending works on Home Studio. I find it MUCH better on Sketchpad. This is my 1st drawing on Home Studio, so this was just experimentation to kinda' imitate what I would draw on Sketchpad. Looks rougher on Home Studio than on Sketchpad.

  • I never bought the full version of AA yet, but people have pointed out the difference in the way tools behave. I bet my limited Wii U storage couldn't even handle it. Is it worth it?

    Yeahs1
    Played
  • @Sarki?: Not entirely sure how much it 'weighs', think 'twas 3GB. If it's worth it is probably something you won't know until you try it. Due to the differences in how tools act, I find Home Studio very complicated. Not used to it. I like the fact that you can zoom in a LOT more and you can actually record your drawings. I tend to run out of recording space though. These drawings take too long. xP

  • I have discovered that some effects or things just cannot be done on Home Studio and only on Sketchpad and viceversa. So I use each app depending on what I'm drawing. I guess having both is the way to go? A cool thing you can do on HS is mix paints to get different colors! On Sketchpad, it's SO complicated to get different shades properly. Mixing is horrible.
