I don't like to complain like this, but...

Bayonetta seriously needs a nerf. -She has like 20+ 0-deaths. -If you mess up once you can die very easily (Witch Time). This (in a way) turns every character into Little Mac. -She can recover from basically everywhere. This isn't a problem on it's own, but grouped with the other factors it's kind of ridiculous. ~Opinion~

  • @Akira, I do practice, but again... -Many 0-deaths that are impossible to DI out of -Witch time Her results are also ridiculous: -A player with virtually no results picked her up and proceeded to beat ALLY, one of the best Marios out there. -A player won (or placed high in, I don't remember) a large national in Japan with less than a week of practice with her.

  • If Sakurai nerfs her I have no complaints however her be op makes the xtra money I play for dlc woth it I personally perfer op dlc but that may just be me

  • Bayonetta has weaknessess. Bay's wicked weaves smash attacks are easily avoidable if you know how to air dodge or just dodge. Then she is wide open for a second and a half for you to attack quickly I know because i bought her and before i play as her online...I PRACTICE with Bayonetta to learn her strengths and weaknessess. Look at the word "Practice" in caps.

  • Eh. I don't like her either. She fits in Smash about as well as Freddy Frazbear would (if that gives you any idea on what I think about her). And I've seen the absurd 0-deaths you speak of: most of them take the Sonic route of just killing off of the top at like 30%. So maybe all they have to do is fix that, and she won't be so annoying to fight. Also, DI.

  • @Brody If they can win tournaments using a character they have only practiced for a week, against people using other characters when said people have possibly been practicing for MONTHS, there's a problem. Imagine if that player had practiced Bayonetta for months, as much as everyone else had probably practiced with the characters they used. They probably would have been even MORE unstoppable.

  • Simply put, there IS a problem if Bayonetta is a powerful as people make her sound. I haven't fought her enough to form an opinion of my own, but I thought I'd clarify what the issue is from what people are saying. Simply put, based on tournament results, she's pretty much officially overpowered.

  • -Bayonetta hardly uses her smash attacks. Not really an exploitable weakness there. -The 0-deaths, if performed correctly, can't be DI'ed out of, and they will be performed correctly at high and top-level play.

  • She creates an insane risk-reward ratio that effectively ruins the experience. Of course she's possible to beat, but it's unfairly difficult to anyone that doesn't want to use her.

  • If anything, 1.1.5 moved her up the tier list. Now that Sheik is much worse, she's basically undeniably the BEST character. Combine that with being extremely easy, and it just becomes unpleasant. I'm not just complaining because a Bayonetta beat me on For Glory or something. I'm looking at what she can do and the results she's obtained and decided that I think she needs to be toned down.

  • @Brody, the tournament they won was a National. That's huge. That's like if someome picked up a brand-new character, practiced them for a few days, and proceeded to go win EVO.

  • @Vennek Jr. They didn't nerf her that much, from my understanding (and from my understand in some ways they actually BUFFED her for some reason). But they DID nerf other characters a lot, as SL*Liam pointed out.

  • I think the appropriate nerf for Bayonetta would be to have the combos harder to start up and to let the opponent DI. Other than that, I'm fine.

  • Yeah, that would break the game and fanbase knowing they paid 7+ dollars for a character that's eventually removed. WE ALL KNOW the 3ds can't take major character adjustments anyway
