The box glitch doesn't work: I tested it by despositing my Mewtwo into the box, then he didn't reset anything. But at least they corrected the level 100 problem: You get Stat Experience even in level 100. I confirmed this because there is the "get exp message" even at level 100.

    Yeah, but you can only level up if you broke the level 100 barrier (By catching a 101+ level pkmn). I caught a level 142 Snorlax off of the Missingno. glitch and leveled it up to 255, where it had 999 HP and stats all above 500. Leveling up again brought me to level 0, then to level 100. Good times.

    The still gaining stat experience (known as Effort Values in later generations) at Lv100 bit was in the original Game Boy versions and in the Generation 2 games too. In the GB originals, Gen. 2 games, as well as in the 3DS remakes, you'd have to deposit the Pokémon into the PC to see any stat increases.
