So heres a good way to catch the most frustrating pokemon easily. First you want to bring a fast Pokemon (perferably Electrode which you can catch in the same area) that can learn flash. Also bring a pokemon that knows Ice Beam or Blizzard (Articuno or Lapras) You first want to start using Flash on Mewtwo so Psychic will miss. Continued in Comments

    Use either Ice Type move to freeze Mewtwo. In this game, Mewtwo cannot break out, so now you are free to wail on him until his health is low enough to catch. Remember to bring plenty of Pokéballs, as he can break out easily. Of course, you can also use an Master Ball.

    I unfortunately had to use my Master Ball on Articuno, as I forgot to prepare for it and I didn't want to bother.
