I'm so disappointed with Nintendo regarding the Wii U system update that caused Wii game discs to be unusable on this system. I got Wii U because it enabled me to play both types of games. I'm home-bound and disabled from spinal issues including 2 neck breaks. This is how I got my exercise. I can't afford to fix it or get an additional system. Why did this company do this?

    That is a real shame you're having that trouble! I'm sure they never thought that an error such as that would occur. Programming is mega difficult to get right..but they will!

    That's awful, hopefully they are working on a patch to fix this. Sure you won't be the only person this had happened to so they'll be aware and trying to figure it out.

    It would be nice if the game were available for download. The downloaded Wii games still work on my Wii U. Still no response to my problem from Nintendo or Zelda developers. It's sad.

    You shouldn't have to re-purchase it digitally though, have you tried calling customer services? They might have some suggestions. Sounds like maybe your connection went funny during an update and it's not quite installed properly, there should be a way to reinstall it.

    launching a social media campaign against them. I don't want to do that. I never allowed video games at my house until I was bed-ridden for 8 months. Now since I'm home-bound, I have my Wii U, my tv and my cat.
