You know, I wish that there were more Pokémon that had distinct advantages in regards to evolving it vs. not evolving it. And no, I don't mean the potential to miss out on a Pokémon's level-up moves, I mean having the evolved and unevolved forms have drastically different stat distributions like Scyther/Scizor and Porygon2/Porygon-Z.

  • that would also be cool but I'm afraid it might be a bit overpowering on things like Magneton or Scyther

    Yeahs2
  • Maybe there could also be some sort of buff item for underpowered ones that can't evolve too. I just wanna see dunsparce dig its way to victory.

    Yeahs1
  • or just give Dunsparce an evolution already or two, for that matter; one can be a Ground/Dragon physical attacker and the other can be Ground/Fairy special attacker, and give them Dragon Dance/Dragon Rush/Earthquake and Quiver Dance/Moonblast/Earth Power respectively; also their base stat totals should each be 535 which is around the same level as Charizard if you're not aware

  • A regular old mega evolution would be pretty okay too if they don't want to actually evolve it. I just want them to do something cool with the snake of eternal burial.

    Yeahs1
  • yeah but the thing I'd be worried about there is that Dunsparce really shouldn't be a Normal-type and there's no precedence for Mega Evolutions changing a Pokémon's primary type. like, Ground, Dragon, Fairy, Bug, Dark, and Flying all make more sense for Dunsparce than Normal speaking of bad Pokémon that really need a buff in some way, Farfetch'd. look, I realize that it's essentially a (cont)

  • (cont) joke character and early-game crutch character wrapped up into one, but that doesn't excuse how awful it is in the long-term.

    Yeahs1
  • It also looks really cool for what it is, so I think a mega evolution would look pretty extreme because of its simplicity in design.
