Fun Fact: In 1961, the very first Japanese cartoon series for television, Instant History, aired in May. The show ran for a year and was revived twice: as Otogi Manga Calendar from 1962-1964, and as Monoshiri University: Tomorrow's Calendar from 1966-1970.
