With the boomerang in Dracula's chamber, if you hit the remaining candles with it, then use it against Dracula's fireballs, you should be able to gain a Double and/or Triple, however high you want to go. You may run out of hearts in the process, though, which you'd need to regain with hearts that occasionally drop from whipping Dracula's projectiles.
