You know what irritates me the most about the controversy surrounding FE: Fates' localization?

Fire Emblem didn't HAVE an established fandom before Awakening! It was a cult favorite series (at best) that was on the verge of joining F-Zero into the abyss! Now all of a sudden it's a sacred cow that must never be tampered with? Where was this fandom when FE needed it the most?
