    That is true, Alex Kidd was Sega's mascot before Sonic. But he wasn't very popular. When the original Sonic the Hedgehog game came, he pretty much died.

    @LITTLE *ahem* do your research before you say he wasnt popular because what you say is not true, Alex Kidd is gaming console mascot that sold 13 million units and the sega master system is the longest living console ever due to its popularity in Brazil its still selling copies to this day and wich also means that this console is the 2nd most successful SEGA gaming console.
