Pokémon Shuffle

This game has finally given me a reason to use my stored hearts! I love this new "Angry" mechanic, where a Pokémon's stage increases for ten minutes and you get the chance to skip a cluster of stages. I have a feeling Escalation Battles are going to be less tedious this way. I'll try to keep one available heart from now on when I play Escalation Battles, to minimize stored heart usage, though.

  • First Angry Pikachu, now a whole cluster of other Escalation Pokémon are confirmed angry. Anyone else? TBH, I wish Zygarde was a Ground-type, but I guess that would be too good to be true. Especially with this godly BP+ability.

  • rip Diancie's love

  • Also daaaaang you're right. Barrier Bash+ AND 80 base power?! It's a better Anti-Dragon-Barrier unit than M-Diancie! Well, M-Diancie removes more barriers than Zygs, and at a 100% rate. But Zygs packs more of a punch no matter what.

  • Lief, I didn't even think of it that way! But... while Zygarde is a much better Anti-Dragon Barrier unit than Diancie, it's a pretty mediocre anti-anything else. Diancie is at least SE against other types. Also, as much as I wanted to believe otherwise, M-Diancie is really overshadowed by Rubyquartza. Ground-type Zygarde would've been too perfect.

  • Hm, true. rip Zygs, I guess. I also forgot that regular Diancie also sports Barrier Bash+, so she's technically superior in that she's more splashable. C'est la vie, I suppose.

  • If there's anywhere Zygarde would really shine, it would be along Rubyquartza as the only other Dragon-Type. That way you could cluster Zygarde (by removing the other Pokémon) in anticipation of Barrier disruptions. This is after the fact that Rubyquartza already helps against barriers! But yes, c'est la vie indeed.

  • You're forgetting someone... The Lati twins. Zygarde is very useful alongside them. If anything, I'm hoping we get a good Ice type Block Smash+. How about that happens to Beartic?

  • Welcome back Mostafa, glad to see your ban didn't last too long.

  • Not all admins are badmins, Jonathan. There are actually quite a few goodmins. I felt really bad when I saw your profile banned, but now that I see you back, I'm glad that this experience was so short, but still long enough to realize what I did wrong. Toad, IKR? Sigma is behind everything. We need to remove the characters Σ and σ from Miiverse before it's too late.

  • Zach, as much as I love the Lati twins (especially Latias, as she's my birthdaymon), I regretfully admit that they kind of pale in usefulness compared to Rubyquartza, at least in most cases. Ruby's big advantage is its ability to work with any type. I'm more hoping for a Ground-Type Barrier Bash+. Zygarde 50% got halfway there. If only it went the whole way.

  • Its still a tad unfair that the admins deleted your post. It was just for fun and wasn't too serious. I've seen actual mean spirited posts that are never removed or called out by the admins. I guess we're not allowed to bring up that person in this site in any way or form.

  • Wait, how would you know if they were or weren't removed? Do...do you monitor those posts?

  • Jon, I think my post was drawing too much attention. There are lots of Lord Crump posts on Miiverse (might as well reference TTYD, right?) but mine may have been drawing too much attention to the topic, due to it becoming a popular drawing. Lief, if Jonathan sees an ill-mannered post from months ago, wouldn't it be safe for him to assume that it just slipped by unnoticed?

  • Fair enough. I guess I was thinking more if just looking at new, say, NSLU posts. Also tbf politics tend to be a huge no-no, and Mostafa's post was more related to politics than other Trump posts might.

  • Mostafa. We've been over this with Mega Bluetooth before. The Lati twins are good. They actually deal with blocks. Columns of blocks being disrupted in? Rubyquartza can't deal with that so well! At least two will be taken out by the Lati twins. (Plus, I NEED a way to justify my investment) Kind of reminds you of Garchomp's case, huh?

  • M-Rayquaza does suffer from a case of The M-Mewtwo - while his Mega Effect packs a punch and combos well, he can't clear blocks. Ever. That said, he suffers from a less acute case - his more varied support options let him call in Block Bash users. Those are still less effective then M-Slowbro or M-Heracross, though. All hail the M-Slowacross Overlord!

    Yeahs2
  • Lief, Herabro sounds so much better though. Also, M-Rayquaza may not be able to assist with blocks, but Disruption Delays and DD abilities can really help with that. For example, Vanilluxe in the latest escalation. TBH, the only time Rubyquartza suffers severely is when Rocks or Blocks are added as a "forced support".
