Official petition to keep this game digital only!

It's time to admit the truth, Nintendo fans. This game benefits from being a digital exclusive for North America. It would simply be too expensive to cater to the tastes of ten people who are too lazy to even buy an external HDD or delete other games off of their hard drive.

  • ludwig what i meant is "just because we can afford the game doesn't mean we can afford an external hard drive" i hate typos

  • You don't need an external hard drive. Just make enough room in your Wii U for it. I know it's possible, DSP of all people could figure this out.

  • How can I fit 16 gigs of data on to a unit with an 8 gig hard drive ? I'm no mathematician, but I'm pretty sure I can't. Pretty sure I need a hard drive. Again this is why many people are upset about this being digital only. Just sayin'......

  • why cody? why should delete all the hard work i put in to my games only to delete it and not go back to them just because NOA is to stingy to give the fans what they want. deleting all those games would be a waste of time and all that hard work i put in to them will go to waste because i deleted them. i shouldn't have to at all especially when nintendo PROMISED! They wouldn't make us buy an EHD!

  • cody the fact that you keep defending this horrible move shows that your part of the problem. i bet you defend every business practice nintendo does don't you? what if nintendo followed the same steps has EA games? (makes the same choices has EA games) will you continue to defend nintendo? because if you don't call them out for their mistakes, than you are nothing but a blind loyalty fanboy.

  • and another thing cody! over 60% of the world can not get access to the internet, and that includes gamers to! they'll have to miss out this game! thats fair to them! are you gonna say the same? or are you gonna tell them "oh boo hoo you'll just have to miss out on this game, it wasn't ment for you" will you fight with us? or will you continue sucking up to nintendo? because even a true fan should

  • boycott a company when they do something wrong. fact is i love nintendo with all my heart. i literally cried my eyes when mr. iwata passed away. (and i really wanted to meet the man, but i sadly never got that opportunity) but here's the thing: should the company ever mistakes i will come out and address the errors of their mistakes. we should learn from them. so we don't make them again.

  • Commercial videogames tend not to be released in retail in regions that lack any Internet infrastructure.

    Yeahs2
  • Ludwig That is true. However I think Corey was referring to territories in South America where places like Brazil for example cannot even access the e shop. Thus making purchasing this game impossible to an entire country of consumers. Many other South American countries have little internet access at all from what I understand. Yet these are territories that NOA distributes to.

    Yeahs3
  • That's Brazil's problem, not Nintendo's.

  • NOA no longer distributes to Brazil, last I checked. It was a big story. The reason was entirely Brazil's fault for having such restrictive trade barriers.

    Yeahs2
  • I know NOA no longer distributes to Brazil. That is way the e shop is not accessable to them. To get Nintendo products in Brazil you have to import. You can't import digital media to my knowledge. That is why I said what I said about Brazil not having access to Fatal Frame. Missing out on an entire county worth of consumers IS a problem for Nintendo. Especially when they are struggling financially

    Yeahs3
  • Nintendo's not struggling.

  • People are still mad about this being digital? I my gosh, guys, buy a $13 USB 32GB flash drive if you want to play this game. There will never be a retail version of this game, so either buy it on the eShop, or go play games similar to this like DreadOut on Steam.

  • Richard The fact that this is digital is the reason people like myself are upset. I can afford a hard drive. I just don't buy digital media for any reason. Games sold on Steam, eshop, playstation network, ect are all digital and therefore never going to be purchased by me. I only pay for physical media. All digital media is like a rental or a lease and can be taken from your possession at any time

    Yeahs2
  • by the publisher. It doesn't happen often but it can happen. User agreements that must be signed before digital purchases basically state this in legal terms. A physical version can never be removed from your possession if a licensing agreement expires, you own it. Also the publisher holds all of the rights to any digital media as to how you use it, ect. That is just a few reasons why I hate

    Yeahs2
  • digital media. I personally feel it is a scam that people are falling for. But I'm old school and still believe in personal property rights. That isn't a popular opinion anymore it seems.

    Yeahs2
  • And before anyone says it, E shop purchaes are saved to your hard drive not a cloud. However that doesn't mean that a game cannot be taken away if the publisher wants to. The Wii U gets updates all the time when not being played. The only way around that is to remove your Wii U from the internet. Again it is unlikely but it can happen.

    Yeahs2
  • If Nintendo can access your console when it is not being played then they can delete digital media too. Again unlikely but possible.

    Yeahs2
