The NX or "Nintendo Next" as I like to call it won't be compatible with Wii U games. Its possible the portable side might be compatible with 3DS games but since its completely new architecture I think their entering uncharted territory in hardware. So I doubt it will have 3DS compatibility either, we could see a Wii U/3DS subscription based service like PSnow. So don't be mad get GLAD!

  • Well its based on the rumored or leaked specks of the NX u could say it is a rumor since nothing has been officially confirmed by Nintendo. But if it is more powerful then PS4 then I'd expect no Wii U backwards compatibility

  • That was definitely fake but my friend says because of the leaked processor in the specks my friend is its impossible for it to be compatible with Wii U. Even if were dealing the portable part of the home console/portable hybrid, I don't think we'd see it compatible with 3DS games either. If rumors are true we will need a subscription based cloud streaming service to pull it off.

  • Me neither but it would be good for the NX to have a good library, I don't think anyone will disagree with Super Smash Bros on NX.

  • It maybe be a rumor now but just look back at what they have shown off already. Its probably too much for the Wii U too handle and Eiji Aonuma keeps having more ideas which means more power.

  • There's going to be a point when a console can't get any stronger.

  • Consoles are just PC's that are just shaped differently lol! Computers keep getting better and better. One major computer company that keeps making better processors and graphics cards is NVIDIA! They are the new Alienware cuz Alienware doesn't make them like they used too. Consoles are just using parts that computers don't use anymore which is why many past Nintendo consoles are underpowered.

  • But, the consumer is the one spending the dollar on that game. Whether Nintendo thinks its a good game or not that is a consumer decision. Because we make reviews happen game sales rise because of word of mouth. I like the great old N64 games the PSone had aweful games. I used to have one. I sold it. I love my N64 still but I mostly play my Wii U and PS4 now. So HD graphics are where were headed.
