Uhh... Why does Sunday Meowth have all the items?

  • When you think GS couldn't mess more with the game... :p Pretty sure this isn't intentional, Attack Power does nothing useful on Sunday Meowth (it's about combos, not damage).

  • I just did Weekend Meowth and got over 21,000 coins. I worked out on GameFAQs that if you leave a slot blank, the Complexity would remove a junkémon rather than the coins, so I tested it on my old 3DS and got results. So I tried different Megas and it turns out Mewtwo and Rayquaza are the best, but you have to use a Mega Start really. So I ended up going with Mewtwo & the Meowstics.

  • I have too many coins at the moment, but I'll use some on EXP Boosters and do Weekend Meowth again later. I think I can get more than 21k if I get a good run, and I'm looking forward to seeing how I do!

  • I guess it depends if they consider it a major bug that needs an emergency patch or not. Just a few extra items for Weekend Meowth is probably not high on their priority list, unlike double items. Still, there's no way of knowing so let's hope for the best! I'd love to see this again next week.

  • I thought it was quite nasty that they considered double items worthy of an emergency patch. Anything that let players get more enhancements than GS intended? Oh no, we can't have that! But other bugs, especially ones that don't help the player like the Timburr one, go unfixed for months!

  • Yeah. If you used a Mega Start, or even if you didn't but evolved your Mega early enough, some non-evolved icons might fall into the middle two columns due to the preset skyfall. Oh yeah, I don't know if you play mobile or not but both Saturday and Sunday's Weekend Meowths had just +5 turns and Mega Start available. Since they've synced the events between 3DS and mobile I thought that was odd.

  • That's interesting... Makes me wonder if grinding on there is viable. Anyway, I don't play Mobile, though I've been thinking about it just in case My Nintendo decides to extend their services to it (which I kinda doubt since it's TPC we're talking about, but you never know).

  • Well, they fixed it eventually. It was a nuisance because the unevolved icons wouldn't match with anything so they'd just sit there in the way. It made the level much harder than it needed to be, and the advice at the time was not to use a Mega Start, and to try and let the preset skyfall drop before evolving. But that doesn't apply any more because they did eventually fix it.

  • how do you leave a slot "blank" when its a 4 poke stage? how do I take a poke away completely so that i have 3 pokes in a 4-poke stage? i thought you could only rearrange your pokes, not take one away...

  • @system: What... You were able to even ever since this game first launched back in February of last year. All you do is drag a Pokémon off the party when selecting the ones you wanna bring.

  • thnaks Naomi, the tricky part is to find an empty space to drag it to, now i see that you can in fact play a 4 poke level using only 3 pokes, with one slot "empty". never had to actually use this feature before but i see the
