Top Down Jump?

I'm trying to implement a top-down jump for my game, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to accomplish this. I haven't had a problem with side scrolling jumps.

    Technically it's just an illusion of the player getting larger as if they've jumped towards the screen.

    try changing the 3d and the the size of the sprite.
