Worst Splatfest theme ever? I'm going to say that this guy has never heard of a few of Europe's Splatfest themes: "North vs. South Pole," "Messy vs. Tidy," and "Pro-Pineapple (on pizza) vs. Team Anti-Pineapple." Or a few of Japan's Splatfests, several of which are only based on food: "Rice vs. Bread," "Lemon tea vs. Milk Tea," "Mountain Food vs. Seafood," "Squid Sushi vs. Octopus Sushi," etc.

    On top of that, Japan held the theme "Red Fox vs. Green Tanuki" TWICE. I say that we should be thankful that none of the American themes have been repeated. There was also "Bokke vs. Tsukkomi" ("Wise Guy vs. Straight Guy," like in comedy routines), "Grasshopper vs. Ant" (like from the fable), and "Go all out! vs. Focus on Healing!" (I guess that comes from role-playing games?).

    How are you supposed to pick between North Pole and South Pole?! The grand majority of people on this planet haven't been to either! Oh, and I think the "Go all out" vs. "Focus on healing" thing came from Dragon Quest.

    Exactly! And I'm pretty sure that a high number of people have never played Dragon Quest! Even if that isn't the case, that's a strange sounding Splatfest right there! Yeah, the North vs. South Pole has got to be the worst Splatfest theme ever, hands down. (The hilarious Spongebob in-jokes have been flooding Miiverse for days, which to me is another reason to love this theme!)
