  • I do not understand what this "fanservice" thingy is (I hope I spelled it correctly). >_<

  • Literally anything in anime (Or other shows) can be considered fan-service. So no.

  • In my own opinion, I think fanservice IS destroying anime. All I see is nothing but pure busty women and hot anime guys. Technically I can't really say that I hate fanservice, 'cause I do watch it once or twice, but in overall, Lesson 1: Only use fanservice only when appropriate. From the 2005 and up, lots of anime popped up containing the service. Mostly it was a HUGE coverup because the-

  • So you're also against any action scene? Or comedy/jokes? Or maybe symbolism? Because all of that is also fan-service.

Also, we all may say that we enjoy the service, but when it's all said and done and placed in stone, in the future we may want different things in anime. We'll get tired of it and look for something else.

  • @Colton, I'm not against anime comedy jokes, action anime, or anything like that. It's just that fanservice is taken too over-the-top sometimes. In an action sequence, will fanservice help w/ the story at all? No! It's only to make that person attractive and such. I'm planning on becoming a game journalist and a part-time manga creator and producer, but I'll use the fanservice to a good use.

  • I'll take time to make a great storyline, plot, characters, and twists and turns in the plot. I maybe against the fanservice community, but I'll use it to my own advantage and won't go overboard with it. I rest my case now.

  • But action scenes are fan-service, so are comedic moments. They're servicing the fans, so both of those are fan-service.

  • "Part-time manga creator"? Like OEL(Original English Language) manga, or Japanese, Korean, Chinese, manga, manhwa and manhuá respectively? It might go well for you if you can get something popular out on Naver. I think it's Naver? It's pretty late righr now.
