    Go up through and around the room, and you'll find a Bombling you can use to kill it from above.

    You might be using the wrong bug, the one where you you have to round a corner or two and toss it over a broken staircase. The proper place to do so is actually at the TOP of that broken staircase, near a door to I believe a room where a monkey is imprisoned.
