    I'm a little too old for those books (Would have been 16 when the first one came out), but as a dragon fanatic I'm sure I would have loved them! I googled it and had one very distant reference picture... I tried. Sorry if it's supposed to be black, it looked dark greenish-grey to me.

    Meh. I would still consider reading it. It's a pretty good book overall. It's not a pure non-violent children's book like the Scholastic's name may give off.

    I understand that the storyline must be engaging to have you all so excited, but it will be at a lower reading level. I look back fondly at the stories I use to read (Magic Tree House as an example). They are not however, meant for an adult audience. I liked my Dragonology book a lot, though!
