Review time. Although it's just the demo, i have a lot to say about the game. First off, the positives: 1. Art Style 2. Gameplay is great 3... ... The price of the "helpful" items at the store. Negatives: 1. The nearly instant spike in difficulty once you win a race. 2. High risk, low reward gameplay in G1 races. 3. the horse telling you what you did wrong at the end of every race.

(thankfully you can skip the little dudes' dialogue... because sometimes, or a lot of the time, there's hardly anything you could've done to do better, and you still get destroyed.)

From the looks of it, you have to trade horses after so many races, which essentially means you need to train an entirely new horse, right from lvl 1.

This game would've been much better if you could slowly raise your horse CHOOSE which race you do next, and be able to interact with your horse in the stable. :( all the stable is, is a stat screen. i'm pretty disappointed really. the game had a lot of potential. :( it just lacks in some of the most important areas. 4/10 for me. it'd be a 7/10 if i could choose what race i do next.

Also, to level up your horse, you have to collect stat cards mid race. just finishing it in 1st place gives you nothing but cash.

Yeah i'm right there with ya man, but you can gain exp if you dont use your heart cards at the end of the race ya know?

Lol well on the times I won I would be running with 80-100 enthusiasm and would pull through no problem, but every time I won I would lose REALLY bad next race...Even if I did just as well i'd end up losing no matter what.

2nd time around, it's better for me. but i feel like it's rigged to make you lose your first G1 race. i was in 1st, nearly across the line, then a random horse does a flyby and beats me by .02 seconds. smh. they match you up with grossly overpowered horses too. :( idk if i'm going to get this game or not. it's worrying me.

And with the rating i gave the game... 4/10 is a little too harsh, i'd say a 6/10... maybe, 9/10 if the full game lets you slowly upgrade your horse, and keep it forever, gives you the ability to choose races, lets you interact with the horse in the stable, be able to buy items that permanently help your horse, or solitaire games, by having a little perk or something. eh. please gamefreakz.

Yeah I agree man, its a solid idea and all but it seems like its still got a few kinks to work out. Course it is a demo so the finished product might be a lot better. Might be exactly the same too, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.
