I still haven't gotten a legitimate Shiny in a Pokémon game other than the Red Gyarados in Gold/Crystal (and that doesn't count because it's a forced encounter iirc). Granted I haven't gone out of my way to look for one either, but still, you think I'd have gotten lucky at least once by now.
