  • You closed your latest post for comments so I will tell you sth here: you work for Nintendo? You can tell them that closing Miiverse is the worst idea they ever had. They lost me as customer. I won´t buy anything made by Nintendo in the future.

  • question: as a game developer, how long do you overall take to finish a product, and with how many people aare you often into making such?

  • Helix, it differs really. Chimpuzzle was made in 6 months because it was a university project, Chimpuzzle Pro took a few months more because it's just a little extension. BlockForm took 1 month to complete, only because that was the main purpose of that game, but took a year longer for slight improvements while working on something more serious. Naturally GGJ games were all made in a single weekend each, because we get only 48 hours for that every year. But I'm currently developing a game I started to make last year, and it's meant to be the first actual game from our company. As to how many people, this differs from company to company. Big companies usually work with hundreds, sometimes even thousands of people on a single game. This is however not a luxury I have, so I'm all alone. I do hire musicians and maybe graphics designers for a little while when I can't manage to do it myself, or when I feel like it can be done way better than what I can do.

  • hey, what was your favorite project that you've ever worked on?

    Yeahs0
  • As your skills improve, you'll quickly consider past projects terrible. It happens with any kind of developer, though the complaints are mostly related to how code was written, art looks like, design was thought out, music sounds, etc.
