    i too feel like this is absurd, im so glad i got to catch groudon the last time we had a groudon special stage becuase this time i dont think i'll be paying coins to play this stage. i really hope this doesnt become a trend, since getting coins is hard enough as is

    I know! I don't buy coins I have to rely on the daily check ins, the weekend meowth, the random gifts, and passwords. I REALLY hope this is not going to become permanent because I don't want to spend all my hard earned coins to TRY and catch the pokemon. And if I actually do end up beating it and have to use a great ball, I might not have enough so basically I wasted my time and coins -.-

    i too hope this isnt permanent, but i just saw someone made a really good point. if you pay for the groudon stage, it doesnt waste a heart. so after the stage, you still have that heart you WOULD-HAVE spent on the stage, but instead it took coins. so you could play the meowth stage right after and get back 330 coins from that, with the heart you just saved.

    I agree, this makes no sense at all. Electivire also requires coins. I get that the tradeoff is not using a heart, but this should be optional. Most stages already require a power-up of some sort to clear as it is, and even then you only have around 30% chance to catch, even if you cleared it with most of your moves left. And all for a Pokemon that may not be of any use. This makes it even worse.
