Well, someone I know got this. Tell me, which is better, Pokemon or Disney? I've been wondering which Art Academy to get for 3DS. I'm more familar with Disney, but I've seen better on Pokemon AA. Of course it's too early to compare, but I really wanna know.

This has more options than PAA such as layers, stroke option like width sizes, style, and transparency, I would go with this unless you are on a budget then you could get a used copy of PAA, both programs are good

Ok. I only have money on the eShop and holding the rest I have for only either PAA or DAA. Before DAA I was looking at PAA and seemed the outlines were better. Later compared America & Japan PAA to Japan DAA. Unfortunately Japan didn't impress me as much. But now that DAA is out in all regions I've started seeing better from DAA both Japan & USA.

Also PAA is flooded with overrated fan bases like Undertale(not that I hate Undertale, FNaF, etc. games nor fans, but the fan base kinda made the community less appealing.) I'm not too familar with the newer gens of Pokemon and you saying DAA has more tools made me decide to get it. Thanks. ;)

Wait, this ISN'T PAA but with Disney slapped on it to make a quick buck? Color me surprised. Looks like I'm gonna have to look into "upgrading" to DAA in the future.

Okay... how many layers? PAA had the outline tool that worked on it's own layer, but it could only have one colour... is there a fill tool? A text tool? Line tool?

I see what you mean by the gap between line thickness. How is the eraser at sculpting lines? surely it's better than the janky SDK eraser...

MacGuyver there are three layers and a grid overlay, no fill option but you can get a thick brush to fill in a large areas quickly, I just learned the brush width is a slider based on percents.

is there a blend - or blur tool? also I REALLY like those drawing tools- the comic workshat is terrible with drawing- seconds after starting with the pen it does that slowdown thing where your stylus is a mile ahead of the line.

Hmmm... Interestingly enough, does that nasty watermark show up on exported pictures to the SD card? I see it's gone from uploaded pics on Miiverse, so already I'm tempted...

Thanks Haru. I don't think it does Garret, it does give you the option to add a signiture when you post to miiverse.

I would really like this- but it's wwwwaaaayyy too much $ for me to justify- com1c workshop is horrible- it's so slow to draw lines and they always look too jaggy to me. C0lors! is 1000% better- but STILL doesn't allow posting to miiverse.

I think the price is salami, I think your paying for the tutorial/Disney expertise which I would def. use...but I don't really need.

You could look into a used copy of PAA, the tools are similar, maybe check Amazon to get a sense of the used prices.
