Good-bye Tower of terror

this isn't exactly about the game, but it has been confirmed 100% besides the park directors that the tower of terror (one of disney's most famous rides) will be replaced by a guardians of the galaxy ride, not torn down, but re-skinned

    That's okay for this DL fan. The Twilight Zone story never really worked well at DCA, because there's no visual build-up to entering the haunted hotel, and there's no horizontal dark ride section. The Guardians reskin is part of the upcoming Marvel Land for that area. As long as they do a good job with the story and effects--and the thrills are the same--I think it could work.

    nononononononnononononononononononono this isn't good what if they replace the haunted with a frozen theme? I will not let Ezra suffer if that happens, so I'll let him follow me home. (My friends ship me and Ezra [skeleton Hitchhiking Ghost] for some reason)

    And it's something they purchased, disney never created marvel or guardians of the galaxy, the tower of terror though is THIERS! it is one of their most famous rides, i go to universal for things like guardians of the galaxy, i go to disney FOR DISNEY

    whether you like it or not the tower of terror is a MAJOR symbol of disneyland, it's not everyone's cup of tea but come on, replacing it with a stupid guardians of the galaxy ride? (not dissing the movie) it's a terrible choice

    Disney didn't create the Twilight Zone TV series. And they didn't create Indiana Jones or Star Wars, but they are the basis for 2 of Disneyland's best-loved rides. They didn't own Pixar when Cars was released, but the park's Cars Land is the best thing ever! And Disneyland just bulldozed a huge part of Disneyland's back area to build Stars Wars Land, which opens in 2018.

    I agree with a lot of what you said. I'd rather they kept the Twilight Zone theme on ToT, but in its current form it really isn't as good as WDW's version, so it can only get better, although right now the Guardians idea does seem weird. From this point on, Disney's treating everything they own, including Star Wars and Marvel, as "Disney." I'm not toally happy about it, but that's the way it is..

    The addition of Star Wars Land to Disneyland is a much bigger and more controversial deal. It's location (behind Frontierland) is odd and its size (HUGE!) is bringing a major permanent change to the park's layout and atmosphere, and they've shortened the Fronierland river and cut part of Tom Sawyer Island to make room for it. The good news is it looks like it'll be awesome, but it's a huge change.
