    No. I lost my game cartridges so i bought new ones with my own money. I dont know why it wouldnt just save to the other game cartridge. Itd be a smart move for Nintendo.

    If only you had a digital copy of the game downloaded to your 3DS, then you could've transferred the data from your physical one to the digital one, and wouldn't lose it
