    ...click on create QR code and choose the mii who's QR code you want made...

    ...then click OK. you'll be asked if you want to include the mii's name with the QR code. click either option,it doesn't really matter. The game will now make the QR code. once you see the screen shown in this comment's picture, press the home button, select miiverse, and post a picture of it.
