the question you should be asking is why is yeahgiving such a productive way to get people to follow you seriously, I'm legitimately curious to know why some Miiverse users are so eager to follow users that they get a few Yeahs from. are they expecting me to follow back or something? and yes, this is related to your question; this post got so many Yeahs because of my inflated follower count

that's probably because there was a gap of 4 hours between this and the post after it. this community doesn't get much exposure so most people who end up reading my posts only do so through the Activity Feed as opposed to the community itself, and as you well know the Activity Feed only displays one post from any given user at a time.
