i captured like 10 rathalos and still no alos plates in low rank, any easy way? even with crazy cat, shinies and breaking everything....i'm exhausted u.u

    Break his head cut & carve tail and capture also the higher the rank the higher the % of drop rate goes up for plates.

    Also Crazy lucky cat pays extra zenny btw, you want Lucky/Ultra lucky Cat for extra quest rewards. I had your same problem but with Lagiacrus Plates, it can be painfully grindy...

    I mean, when breakin the wings, does the % of rathalos webbings and and because of that the % of plates goes down or soething like that? I still don't understand how the % works :S

    Monster part break zones do affect specific rewards Example Wings= webbing, wyvern claws ect. This is only percentile though and total reward amounts are randomized.

    but if one percentage goes up, the probabilities of the other rewards are affected by that right? i'm so confused u.u i'll keep capturing rathalos anyway, thanks for the reply >.<

    I had to kill(10 caps) 27 Rathians before I got my first plate. You can do all of the above (smash head , wings , body , cut off tail (which I've done every time) , play in Moga or Tanzia , it doesn't matter . When the Desire Sensor in this game decides to give you one you'll get it .

    there is no reward rate up in cutting the tail, you only have a probability for carving the tail
