    Yea. I don't seem to have a problem with sliding. I am playing this game on the original Wii console, Maybe the dynamics are a little off for the Wii/u?

    Something funny I found in this game yesterday is that you can Crouch and crawl around. It looks really funny, too bad you can't jump in this position.
