There should be a system with the characters which I would call skins. The clones can return from Melee without actually being a seperate character For example you could have Mario look like Dr. Mario

    i don't think it would work for characters like pichu to be an alt. of pikachu. they have completely different models and hitboxes. the only character that would work for would be dr. mario.
