    That's the problem with some developers. The individuals that made them special eventually leave. Look at modern Capcom. No Mikami, no Inafune, no Kamiya. I really think Kojima is all Konami has left.

    @david you are correct. they tried to conform (rock revolution anyone?) when they did not need to (guitar freaks). and they totally dudebroed their other stuff like castlevania.

    The market also changed. Everybody that grew up on the arcade mentality either moved on or rather stick to the classics. A little kid saw me play Gradius 2 and said "yuck." Literally.

    I do have to say with games like SM3DW and Sonic Lost World, as an artist I think the Wii U would be perfect for a new Goemon if they invested in the idea.

    thats why i love discovering old off the wall games like Panic for Sega CD. stuff like that is kinda happening with indie games but i want it from veteran developers.
