    well the agnaktor is just a lizard thing with a coating so if it moves to a place with snow it would roll in it and get coated in that too

    They seem to be structural adaptations. The Agnaktor is able to use lava in the volcano for its armor, but the Glacial Agnaktor is able to use ice, since lava isn't available.

    My theory is that the agnaktor overexposed itself to lava. Its armor weakened so it had to go to a new environment that could strengthen its armor.
