Question

why cant capcom make a 2 player mode in one console having one player to look on the gamepad, like you must create another hunter to do it from another user. just asking, harsh opinions are acceptable

    Being able to play co-op with another character slot on the same account using the gamepad would be awesome, I agree.

    I don't know why. Tri for the Wii had split-screen arena battles. My guess would be that addng that kind of feature requires alot of extra time.

    Maybe they can do that if the next console MH is on the Wii U. 3 Ultimate Is a 3DS port, so a feature like that is probably impossible without being a game built from scratch.

    Split screen (even if it's two separate screens) multiplayer also requires more system resources, which is why it isn't seen as much anymore. The system basically has to render everything twice.
