    Lightning is the best element to use, next to Dragon. Though Rough Edge should be good enough if you're confident with the swax.

    Thanks, are there any lightning weapons that I can get at low rank? The only one I know I can get is the Drill Lance. I can't hunt the Lagiacrus yet. Otherwise, I think I'll try the Switch Axe for now

    Its weakest to dragon, and then thunder. Rough edge might be your best choice at that point in the game, at least as far as Switchaxes are concerned.
