    I'm a dual blade user, and I've beat him enough times to get the full Barroth armor set. Just go for his legs, and make sure you maintain green sharpness or you'll not put a dent in him…

    Dual blade as well. If you have access to fire dual blades, it'll help out as well since that is its elemental weakness. Also, set Cha-Cha and Kayamba attacks to have some fire to help out more. It

    actually if you look at his armor, you see he's not resistant to ice, so if you can, get ice ones, if not, fire or water.

    yeah if you get qurupeco axe or somethin around that strength and make/upgrade barroth armor, if you did the guts quest you could probably beat him.
