    Would suggest sword and shield or hammer.

    The sword and shield or dual blades if you are used to beat-em-ups. The Bowgun or bow if you are used to First person shooters. Just know that this game is nothing like those.

    test ALL your weapons and just do what you LOVE! the way i see it, it's your weapon in your hunters hand that YOU are killing the monster with. the question is, what's in your hand?

    deafinatly the bone great sword because it is so fuc-in powerfull it has a power of like 369 or somethin like that so please get the bone sword

    Experiment! Sword and Shield is a great beginner weapon with high mobility and a shield. If you're more into the defensive side, play around with Lances. For mobility, go toward Dual/Long Sword.
