    Port quests are designed for multiplayer so the monsters are tougher. You need experience and better equipment before you can tackle port quests alone.

    Less easy, as in overall, but it's much more newb friendly, giving you a full set of basic gear at the start. The only thing that lessens overall difficulty is you now naturally have 25 defense.

    You need to finish the tutorial before you talk about difficulty! After that, Low Rank is pretty accessible, but High and G-rank are killer!

    Tri and 3U are easier as far as stats of the monsters goes but adapting 2 their moveset patterns with their smarter Ai is the real difficulty capcom is aiming at now with these new generations.
