    I got to do that quest earlier today for the first time :) I think as long as you have the shock trap and tranqs, you can use whatever weapon. I smacked em around with my hammer :)

    Any weapon is fine. Just nake sure you have traps and tranq bombs/coating/ammo. Beat it up as per usual until it's visibly limping as it escapes. Trap and tranq it in the area it runs to.
