I wonder if using slime weapon would do more damage rather than a element weapon a monster is weak to ?

If you're in a group with other slime users, yes, but alone, no.

Slime is also good for monsters with lower health

On dualswords it can, depending on the monster. It's because your hitcount goes up so fast.
